Spring is here with many changes and new beginnings
Well, hope that you are having a healthy and happy spring. There are definitely a lot of changes going on. The folks with the Conscious Living Expo have decided to cancel the May event that was to have happened in Hot Springs. However, out of this unexpected turn of events, it is looking more and more likely that there will be a locally done fair, either fall of 2007 or perhaps spring, 2008.
One thing is for sure– there is a LOT of interest out there on the part of folks, both practitioners and others who wanted to attend, in this sort of thing happening. There are other fairs and festivals in the spring and fall, it is true, but most of these are pretty focused on environmental concerns, which is only half of the equation, IMO.
And once things get rolling, I truly feel that Arkansas will enter a new phase of its history, not just from some holistic fairs, but from the attitude and heart change of the people, from all of us finding new ways to dialogue with each other, to learn from each other, and to respect each other and the diversity that exists here.
Arkansas is not known as the “Natural State” for nothing – we have much to offer here, both our people and the holistic practitioners that I have come to know within the last year.
God Willing this endeavor will manifest.
